The Hudson River Maritime Museum is looking for two-person boat building teams to compete in its first annual Hudson River Boatbuilding Challenge!

​Teams will have 4 hours to complete the boat start to finish, then each team will compete in a rowing race. Teams will be judged based on speed, finish quality, and placement in the rowing race.

Practice Build on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

ENTRY FEE: $200 per team. Fee includes $500 worth of materials (provided by challenge sponsors) and you get to keep your boat! Boat plans provided after registration. Each team must provide its own tools.

Apologies, I’m not up for the challenge–I got unfinished boats in my own shop I can’t get to. But I do live nearby and wouldn’t mind dropping by to watch the participants have fun going at it.
