Hudson River

We are planning as a group to paddle on Hudson river from Plum Point Park in New Windsor to Bannerman Castle is it better to start a little before High or Low tide we are planning to do this in early September where the water will still be a little warm. Any advice will be taken

Higher
Higher water will keep you clearer of submerged obstacles around the island such as the old sea walls, piers and barge framing timbers.
