Has anyone mounted a hard roof box beside a kayak on a Hullavator? I am concerned about the weight (the recommend max for my Dodge Grand Caravan roof rack is 150 lbs.), as well as space to open the box when the kayak is in place. Thule’s Cascade 1100 at 21 inches wide will, in theory, fit beside the Hullavator. Kayak: 58 lbs. Hullavator: 41 lbs. Cascade 1100: 31 lbs. Thanks for any suggestions.
58 + 41 + 31 = 130 lbs.
Just get a 20 lb. boat!
