Looks clean and tasty funsized. Better conditions than I have seen in person on East Coast.
Pre and post hurricane swells are some of the best. Several years ago when my son was a senior in High School, he had a friend who was a competitive board surfer in West Coast contests. There was a good south swell from a hurricane off the mexican coast. He wanted to try waveskiing and we warned him at his weight it was going to be very tippy sitting still or paddling out. He proved us wrong and paddled out into a big bomb and rode it like Math Barbarit. The beautiful waves just kept coming and coming about every fifteen seconds and the three of us surfed for about four hours, evey time I paddled past him he had a huge grin. Not sure what happened with him, both kids moved far away that summer to start University
I often have that sense of “wonderment” of how people come into and out of our lives and we lose track of them. The other waveskier in the beginning of the above video was the first waveskier I met in the New England area almost 20 years ago. He was also in the beginning of the old video below. I would surf with him occaisonally and then he sort of disappeared. He had moved to the west coast for work and recently came back after retiring. We reconnected on the Facebook East Coast Waveski Group and finally got together for a session. Pretty cool. I occasionally wonder about a few other folks I used to surf regularly with.

Looks messy and blown out in MassBay, with a diagonal north wind. Hope it cleans up for tomorrow and Sunday…
Fingers crossed (and gear loaded on/in the car).

Oh, wow! Thanks so much for posting! My mom lives up on the coast of New Hampshire (I’m down here in Florida) and I was wondering what kind of weather she should be expecting!
She’ll see some wind and big waves on that short New Hampshire shoreline. But, unless she’s an open water swimmer or surfer, she should be fine and just go and enjoy the show!

My homebreak was going of nicely this AM, with 7.5-8.5’ waves at 12-13s. Got trashed on the dumping shoreline with the strong undertow, on both launch and landing. Luckily, the waveski emerged undamaged while I sustained some bruises.

Enjoyed Erin swells, but headed into the mountains tomorrow. Hopefully, more tropical fish storms and swells when I get back.

Those are west coast-like numbers!
Seriously!!! The earlier Erin session, we were getting 16-17s intervals! These swells was fast and powerful. Although I got trashed by the breaking lip of one mis timed wave, I was able to paddle out quickly in between sets unscathed when I timed correctly.
Have always been envious of the quality/quanty of west coast surf. (But, I don’t envy the ongoing wildfires!)
