I just got back from my first trip on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway in Maine. We went from Churchill Dam to Michaud Farm with a side trip down to the train/tramway site on Eagle Lake. A 1-hp trolling motor made easy work of the flatwater sections on the lakes - it felt a little like cheating at first, but I got used to it 
. We had a fun run on the Chase Rapids. Weather was beautiful, but we had some nights in the 20’s. Water was a little low, so we did have to drag boats in the shallow spots. What beautiful trip.
