Ideas for a canoe rack

Hi guys,



I’m looking to build a canoe rack on the outside against my garage. I have about 8 feet between my garage and the neighbors so thinking a vertical one since I probably dont have enough room for an A frame. I found a similar thread on here but it was old and all the links didnt work. Anybody have pics of a simple diy rack? Also thinking about a tarp or other ideas for weather protection.

In the wet termite prone south I’m a big fan of PVC. 2 1/2 sched 80 make 2 ladders sized appropriately with a couple crossbars between the uprights.
