I have a fiberglass canoe that I am trying to get more information on. The decals say it is an Adirondack, Algonquin, or an Algonquin, Adirondack. I don’t know the order of the names. It is 14’ with a 39” beam.The hull number is SCSC3418C898. I know SCS was originally registered as Scott canoe company but this canoe was made after Scott Canoe closed down. In researching further, it looks like Stowe Canoe might have taken over Scott and had ownership at the time that my canoe was made in ‘98. Any ideas???
Scott canoe is still in business.
It is part of a larger company. Manufacturing went from New Liskeard to Rouyn-Noranda… not that far apart.
