Identify dry bag material

I have a Coleman dry bag that the velcro inner closure has become unattached. I need to glue it back but don’t know what material the bag is. It is the clear that you can see the reinforcement. I know it needs to be able to flex so super glue won’t work.

Try a sewing supply store. I bought a fabric glue, but don’t know if it works on all fabric. They can probably help answer your question.

Gflex?

You used to be able to get small tubes of vinyl glue at Joanns Fabric stores that worked on clear vinyl (and PVC) but now that the chain of stores has closed I’m not sure where you might find it. I have sometimes found it at large sporting and camping goods stores, usually marketed to patch air mattresses or inflatable SUPs. Vinyl glue in the past has worked on my PVC folding kayak inflatable components.

Also theres is H-66 vinyl glue, which I have used to make large inflatables, but you would probably pay more for the smallest can of that than just buying a new dry bag.

Any vinyl glue will also work on PVC (which is a form of vinyl) so it doesn’t matter which your bag is made of.
