Hi all, been searching awhile on this 15 foot Grumman aluminum canoe. Called Marathon place out in New York and no success on the serial number on the canoe. Was hoping someone could tell me a year on this? Thanks so much!

pretty sure the last 2 numbers are the year, so its a 78.

HIN is the “model year format”. The boat was built and certified with the US Coast Guard in August of 1978.
Thank you so much! Settling an estate and this canoe was part of it…no real info on it and trying to get details in order for us trying to sell it. Thanks again! We would keep it but we have another canoe😁
Its ok to have more than one canoe.
