IR backband on Tsunami?

Just finished the retrofit

Paddler came in with the same situation but on a WS Zephyr. Just finished the retrofit. Probably going to limit the twist range of the backband by taking a 8" x 2.5"x 0.5" of plywood plank tucked under the back strap of the two ratchets and use it as a bottom brace anchoring it into a slot cut into the seat pan where the old back rest used to nest.

Hmm…
I got the IR backband and started fooling with it. The top rim of the cockpit coaming is not wide enough on the sidewall to take a drillbit of the appropriate size as you’ve done (which is what I wanted to do). I have a recent model Tsunami: maybe they changed the “depth” of this lip recently?



Anyway, now trying to figure out how to drill the slots for the pro straps so that my skirt covers them…
