I don’t think there’s any comparison between MJac and Coffee. To Coffee, personal insult was a constant and seemingly necessary part of any conversation, and I don’t see that in Mjac’s posts.
If you cannot tolerate another, put them on ignore. Making a post about it is more akin to bullying.
How to put on ignore…
- click on their name in one of their comments…brings up pop up window.
- click or right click (for new window) on their name in pop up window to get to their profile.
- In profile, on right side, click on drop down menu that reads “normal” and set that to “ignored”
Re squirrels - I have seen 4 swimming in the lakes, 3 grey and 1 red. Hit the red one accidentally with the kayak (thought it was a goldfish) and it just popped right up and swam to shore. Also a moose - slow but steady.
Agree. As I said, Mjac is a long long way from where Coffee was coming from.
you are right, Coffee didn’t comment on every post. and look he.she.it isn’t doing it. How ever if I remember, he did show pics of his paddling stuff…
Thanks for educating those who care. And scroll down to duration “Forever and ever, amen.”
Didn’t Coffee post under a different name for quite a while? Its been a long long time but I met a guy from Pnet in the pre-coffee phase near Lake Havasu, when we did a group paddle. He claimed to be ex-marine, ex- Navy Seal, full of crap, Senior Citizen Incell, but he did own a boat and posted pictures paddling in Southern Arizona. He got kicked off ( I think during the Bicker and Banter phase) and from some comments Coffee made I thought he had been resurrected. Re: current pnet celebrity, I prefer Chuck and Wanda and Paris the Parson.
I met and paddled with the guy and the only part of his story I could confirm was I have never seen anyone who could swim and dive like him. Must have been part aquatic animal.
I certainly understand the irritation and if you disagree with him how it just becomes personal, but there is positive here too. He is supportive of several members here. His sailfish post brough back fond memories for me sitting in the chair of my father’s boat with the outriggers skipping a ballyhoo on the surface of the Gulf Stream off Palm Beach inlet. The strike, the slacken line, the ballyhoo sinks like a dead fish, the take, the aerial display and more than half the time they would get off. His questions about dry suits were good. I don’t intend to talk about the negatives because I am sure they also apply to me from time to time. They are in plain sight for others to judge for themselves. He belongs like the rest of us. Perhaps this will bring about some reflection, but I know how I would feel in this situation.
I might say that this thread was inapropreate now… But this is about the only topic the jack*** hasn’t responded to on this site.
Anybody know how to close it or delete it?
squirrels swimming you say, I’ve never seen that muskrats, rats, cobra chickens, ducks and swans, which I was told can be quite aggressive this time of season. I was out once and had a swan aggressively follow me for about 1 click. never trying to overtake me his head down in that “keep moving or I’m gonna tune you up” and hissing, but muskrats, are they a rat, I had one case me down for about 100 yards making all kinds of racket. finally he gave up though for sure he did get hands on the boat or is that paws. speaking of paws, the Pamlico is a great boat for taking the dogs out in, you take the front seat out put them up front and sit in the back though my idiot #1 is always jumping out to chase the ducks, and then cant get back in necessitating going to shore so she can get back in where in idiot #2 jumps out then I have to get out to put them both in so tiring. It’s better to go solo.
Now @RoundKid if you see moose, not mice stay away the murder deer can swim faster than you can paddle and they can freaking do that underwater. talk about a submarine attack. but a squirrel or mouse yeah you can just bonk them with the boat and they’ll pop up and keep on going probably cursing you out the entire way unless you lake has a bunch of pike. Maybe that’s why my lake has no swimming squirrels… Do pike like squirrel? I know they like Yo-Zuri Lures. which made me think of the fact that osprey are dicks, I watched one for an hour grab sunfish take them up a few hundred feet and then drop them com back and grab another one and repeat when I paddled over to his “fishing” area there were something like 15 dead sunfish. that got me thinking if it as the sun that caused my melanoma on my back, though I can’t see how as I always wear a shirt paddling. And paddling why does no one make a paddle at about 630 sq CM in carbon fiber weighing in at around 26 oz?
But yeah that guy Craig_S, is a tool.
True that. I just ignored hIm after awhile and never noticed when he left PNet. It is the approach I took with a few others too through the years.
If I dont ignore, i would drive myself off this site. (Although taking breaks before and again from PNet and other social media is a good practice for my mental health.)

I’m posting this with bad connotations…but guess what…he hasten’t posted in 2 days …
I hope he’s not floating in the bayou. It’s time to let him go.
The ignore feature on this forum works pretty well. I have no use for people whose main purpose in posting is to bait people into an argument.
I think that we all have our weaknesses. And I also think it is wise to acknowledge them to ourselves and to do what protects our sanity.
Can’t disagree with that.
