Down on the eastern shore the pokomoke river and it’s tributaries offer several day trip options that all can end at Shad Landing SP ($4.50/night camping) all flatwater , so easy to paddle upstream or use a bike for a paddle/pedal shuttle. check Gertler

Conestoga river is a 60 mile water trail in Lancaster county
Round Valley
Consider Round Valley Reservoir, just over the border in NJ. It’s a state campground with designated primitive campsites that are hike in or boat in only.
While not exactly wilderness, the sites are spaced far enough apart that you get a semi wilderness feel.
