Just got new kayak Pelican Catch Mode 110. The cart will not fit unless moved to the bow which is not acceptable. I wanted to add some longitudinal rails that fit between the rails on the bottom (for lack of a better word). Here is a dry fit before I add pool noodles or pipe insulation. What do you think?

I am aware that the rails are a bit narrow, but it is the only way they would fit in that location. (can’t find a flat spot) another thing different about this boat is the scuppers go straight down the middle vs parallel. This also limits what you could do. It looks like the scuppers would make a nice place to run wiring to an under hull transducer.

OK, thanks. it will work alright until I get something better. One thing I found out is that I am going to need longer NRS straps, this boat is just a bit WIDE ! Probably going to paddle like a barge. At least I can stand up easily.
