Kayak Paddle Holders

I’m curious what types of kayak paddle holders people are using, if any? There are anywhere from 5-10 different types out there, and I’m looking for feedback on what paddlers like and do not like about different products (e.g., YakAttack RotoGrips, YakClips, RaibBlaza QuickGrip, Shoreline Marine Propel Kayak Paddle Clips, YakGear Deck Mount (aka taco), etc.). Thanks.

None. If I need to access my snack hatch, I’ll tuck my paddle under my PFD. If a short stop for snacks or to take photos, I’ll use my paddle leash.

Honestly, I think they’re all potential entanglement points if I’m wet exiting or doing a recovery.

If I need somewhere to temporarily put my paddle I just slide a blade under a bungee on my foredeck.

I don’t use them or leashes. My deck is rigged to make it fast and easy to stow paddles. When it comes to stuff on your deck, less is more.

I’m sensing a theme, here!

My P & H Easky has a short length of bungee cord along the right bow deck edge just ahead of the cockpit with a nylon plastic hook fastened through the deck about 4" inboard. All I have to do is lay the paddle shaft between the two and stretch the bungee over to loop over the hook and the paddle is secure. Kits to do this are $10 and are easily installed on most boats.
