I recently got a Prijon Kodiak, but a previous owner for some reason attched a 1 inch by 2 inch hard plastic keel to the bottom of the kayak. There ate 16 bolts holding the keel to the bottom. The flat keel is extra weight and decreases the effectiveness while paddliing. I want to remove it, what is the best way to seal the 16 holes that will result in the removal of the keel. Thanks

You repair, replace the screws and try the boat out. If you like the way the boat handles without the skeg, repair the holes.
Skeg? I think he means full-length keel
