Kayak rod holder

I currently have an Elie Strait 140 kayak that I would like to outfit for kayak fishing. I was wondering what would be the best type of rod holders to install? Deck mounted or above deck like the Scotty Powerlock?

you may want to try the newest
scotty clamp on. they have one now that works better in the inside grove of the coaming.

Scotty slide track
I mounted a 4" piece of the Scotty Slide Track and use the Gear Head Mount and a Spinning Rod Holder on my Old Town Cayuga. I don’t fish a lot with this set up but it works well when I do use it. I mostly fish using a Pongo & just bought the Scotty Rod holder that cyberiankhatru mentioned above. It fits really well but haven’t really used it yet.
