Kayak Shoppin'

Deseratly looking for a sea-going vessel. Price is flexible, but prefer a boat I’d be able to beat up on rocky rivers and coastlines. I strongly favor regular strap/buckle type hatches over the tupperware ones. Want lots of room for extended trips. I’m 6-4, 190pds. Any suggestions?

Hatch Covers…
I find that hard covers with straps and buckles often leak. Rubber tupper wear covers often provide a more leak proof seal. Want best of both worlds, Add on your own straps and buckles over the tupper wear cover. It’s very easy to do, especially for a plastic kayak that you’re looking to get.

take $2000 and walk into a kayak store and say the same thing.
