Hmmmm I see a wing and a rudder and a plumb bow. Perhaps you really have a conundrum on your hands now. The British influence of elf shoes and no rudders to which you speak is straining, now. If I google the name Anna Hemmings I see even further deterioration in your narrow perception of what British influence means. I can look around for more names than Sir Derek, maybe in whitewater, surf or kayak polo, but I think you get the point, you are in need of an information transfusion.
Dogmaticus
What is encouraging is your realization that your assumptions were incorrect, even though you were initially pretty invested in them. You’re own observations matched extensive data, and you were open to the facts.
To end up realizing that you like what you like, inspite of technical facts is completely valid.
I bet when a newbie asks you about which boat is fastest you’ll answer it differently now!
Perception is one’s reality, even if it’s incorrect.
answer them now? well probably not without doing as greyak suggests and getting solid info…i’ve got no reason to skew or lie. In the long run I have to think its all good in that I get a grin on my face if i’m pittling in the Kestrel or on a 3 day trip living out of the QCC or the Nordkapp or hanging upside down in the Wisper or the Strand boat (that’s something I’m working on, simply hanging upside down for longer and longer periods,i’ve got in my mind that i have to come up immediately and as fast as possible even with the greenland stick in my hand)…
But back to the QCC700 and the LookshaII, hopefully in a few more weeks I can throw another into the mix after the arrival of the Mirage 580…just looking at them (how subjective can that be!) one would think the Mirage will fall in between those two because its 19 feet long and again just looking at it suggests an 18foot waterline, will be fun regardless!
