I’ve got a camping trip booked for the Beaver Pond Campground in Harriman SP. I used to have a link to web site that listed what permits were needed to get in to what lakes in that area. Anyone have any experience paddling in this area?

PIPC for Harriman
Unless you have special permission from camping at the campsite, all kayaking in Harriman State Park is now illegal as the season is from April to Nov 1st.

it’s like a $20 permit for all the lakes other than Island beach which you will need a NYS fishing permit. Lake Welsh and Tiorati has a gate to so there is a key for those launch sites.

Great, BTW, you can pick up a permit from the Tiorati circle ranger station where Tiorati Brook Road meets 7 Lakes Drive at the circle there. You’ll need your kayak and your PFD when you get the permit as they’ll look at it.
