I’m thinking of going up to the Lake District next week. Just wondering if anyone can suggest some good lakes to go to and whether it is free to paddle and just park and get on the Lake or whatever
Thanks Dan

Lake District in UK, not so easy to rent kayaks.
You can rent rowboats on Derwent Water.
Coniston
In the English Lake district there is also the Coniston Boating Centre close to Coniston Village at the north west end of the lake.

They do rent kayaks although for such a beautiful lake it’s a shame that they don’t appear to have the best boats.
After you’re done paddling, stop in at the Black Bull Inn in the village where they brew Coniston Bluebird beer. It’s delicious!
