My wife and two girlfriends are headed to Ireland early September. All three are novices in kayaks with limited experience. Mainly quiet water in the midwest. Any suggestions on good paddling spots-especially on the west coast of Ireland that would be safe and enjoyable? Thanks for the help.

From what I have seen, most of Ireland (and the UK) doesn’t do rentals so much as guided tours.

If you can rent boats the bay next to Dingle in County Clare is protected and would be a nice paddle. We have been out in that bay a couple of times in big boats and it is quite pleasant.
