My fiberglass canoe has a decent sized chip on the edge of the front keel. I see that skid plates have gotten some hate, but would it be appropriate in this context? Are keel guards or patches preferable or at all different? I’ve also seen people use truck bed liner, but I’m not sure if that’s really best practice…
I use Keel Easy strips on my FG boat but repair is fairly easy.
