A couple of retail choices…
Canoe Importers on Dorset St in South Burlington or in Stowe VT drop by Umiak on Rte 100. Both are staffed by able paddlers and they have a great selection of boats. Umiak has a rental outpost in the North Beach area of Burlington right on the water. Champlain is a great place to paddle I hope you have fun.

Burlington area outfitters
CKayak.com is a local paddling club, and they have a variety of outings that you might find interesting. Vermontkayak.com is Dovid Yagoda’s site and he is a BCU coach 3 and they offer courses and tours of nthe lake.
The best local outftter that I know of is Canoe Imports on Dorset, but frankly you will find a lot more kit in Montreal at Mountain Equipment Coop.
