Hello,
Our friend passed away and requested to have his ashes poured into a river in the mountains of Northern California.
It would be perfect to find a section of river to paddle down, with mountains on both sides of us as we pour Jim into the river.
We understand the Feather River might be perfect, so we are seeking launch and pickup points along Highway 70 in Butte County, Northern California in the Plumas National Forest.
Any experienced canoers out there who can help guide us?
Thank you for your valuable time and energy, we are truly grateful.

Sacramento ?
Surely the Sacramento was a better choice. Dust him off the Sundial Bridge.
He was cremated ?
Feather
The upper Feather River has 3 forks. I would try the area around Quincy.

Is there enough water for your friend ?
In my mind your friend rushes off down a canyon in sparkling water for an eternity at peace in eternal natural splendor.
Or mingles with universal realities in the Sacramento Valley…SF Bay…
