launch ramps

My son wants to build a kayak launch ramp for his eagle scout project. Does anyone have ideas on plans, websites, or advice? Thanks for the help.

The closer you can imitate a soft sandy beach or low floating dock the better. Nice if you can drop the boat off close by...

oh THAT kind of launch ramp…
i was picturing a LAUNCH ramp like a bike or ski jump where ww kayakers slide down it and catapult themselves into the air, do some acrobatics then hit the aqua. silly me.
