The drought killed off leave brillance in my geoloc this year.
Throwback to Oct 2009. Color was subdued this morning as well, camping on Knife Lake
BWCA.
It was a nice day for paddling I recall. Lousy day for camping.

Are those paint roller heads in your first photo? I’ve been wondering what I could use. Hadn’t made it past the thought of some kind of pipe insulation.

Yes they are. I use the ones with the plastic body. I also put a closed cell foam pug in one end held in place by crossed zip ties. Some folks zip tie them to their perimeter lines. I keep my lines too loose so keep them between crossed bow bungees.
