In the past I’ve used an REI backless tripod stool and now my aging body needs something more comfortable that I can use for river trips and car camping. My car camping chair weighs 7 lbs or more and isn’t suitable for river travel and I’d like a chair to replace it that works in both situations. I checked the archives and what posts I find are quite old. I’m currently looking at a Helinox high back on eBay for 99.00, but the seat is pretty low. Thanks
I have a Heilinox it has a high back and is a rocker. I really like it. It is well made and should last. It is the rocker which I like because the legs don’t sink in soft ground. I use it kayak camping, at the beach, and about everywhere else.

A canoe has room for regular folding chairs. For lightweight traveling a Helinox chair is fine but the feet are tiny and disappear in the sand. Add some feet like old tennis balls.
