Like Driving in Deep Snow

Hey y’all, Here in the South we don’t get a lot of snow. When we get some real snow I like to get in my car and brush up on my snow-driving skills. I used to take my just-learning-to-drive kids to empty parking lots and let them get some experience, too. I thought of it recently. Last week my raggedy spray skirt finally fell apart. OK… lemons and lemonade… until the new replacement arrives I’m practicing skirtless rolling and bracing and generally coping with a swamped boat. I think it’s good to practice. Like driving in that deep snow that rarely happens. I probably should do this more often… not just when the skirt falls apart.

Well done! Just like self and assisted rescues, it is good to practice a couple times a year.
