hi - my name is Michael and i’d like any guidance you could possibly give me. I am looking for my first sit in kayak to get started kayaking. I found a used Dagger Prospect 2002 is good condition for 250$. sounds like a good deal to get started. anything I should consider? (originally I was looking at the Eddyline Kayaks but following some advice from this post many kayakers encouraged a used kayak. Thank you and God’s Peace
For $250? If it is in good shape, jump on it. I doubt you will find a better kayak for that price. Just make sure it isn’t warped.
Also make sure you can fit in it. This kayak was supposedly designed for a small person.
If it’s in good shape and you fit well, it may feel tippy. This feeling goes away within a few outings.
At $250, resale is feasible.
thanks for your help - ended up sold pretty quick - so i’m considering a NAcky Looksha IV. thanks
