looking for a certain kind of paddle

I have a Bending Branches Infusion paddle that is my absolute favorite and am looking to buy another one similar to it. (I don’t think they make the Infusion anymore.)

Here’s the catch: My current one has the ergonomic crankshaft AND it has a layer of rubbery stuff (?) over the crank part which makes it super comfortable - easy to grip even with wet hands. This is what I want.

I can’t seem to find one like it, not on the BB website (unless I missed something) and can’t find anybody else who makes that. Is there a way for me to buy some of that rubbery stuff and put it onto a paddle shaft?

My current paddle is a 210cm (got it on sale at a great price, best paddling related purchase I ever made!) but I’d like to add a longer one to the collection for when I paddle my SOT (maybe a 230?).

Point me in the right direction! Thanks.

Favorite Paddle
I know what you mean! I had a favorite Lighting paddle and they quit making it. Get a dealer list from Bending Branches and start calling. I did that and found my Lighting paddle. Good luck. Vaughn Fulton

This one?

For bent, you might look at the “slice” as well:

L.L.Bean has what reads like the right one (picture maybe wrong, call) - Infusion crank with padding - available 230 - $129 - “Advanced design without the advanced price – this paddle features a cushioned, ergonomic shaft bent to align your wrists during the stroke, so you experience more comfort and less fatigue. Likely other retailers have stock - Google/Yahoo for Bending Branched Infusion Crank” should yield something.

I found it on the BB site too:

EXACTLY!!! Thanks!
Greyak,

I’m not sure how you found that - I don’t see it on the website, plus I must’ve not googled the right way, but thanks a bunch.

I called LLBean and they confirmed that it is, indeed, a bent-shaft paddle (the angle of the photo is deceiving, or so they have reassured me anyway) so I ordered one. I am so excited! Thanks again for helping me find my favorite paddle.

p.s. Vaughn, thanks to you also for the suggestion. If Greyak’s info didn’t pan out, that was going to be my next approach.

Follow-up question
Is there a way to add that rubbery grip thingy to my straight-shaft paddles? Where can you buy those? I don’t think I’ve ever seen them advertised anywhere. I really like not having the paddle slide around in my hands when they’re wet and those would help tremendously.

Thanks again.

Yak Pads
It may not be exactly what you are looking for but Yak Pads makes paddles grips in assorted colors:

Some use handlebar wrap/tape too. NM

perfect!
Once again, smart p-netters have the info I need.

Thanks very much.
