Anybody have a favorite Youtube channel or something that focuses on the engineering side of kayaking?
Maybe makers that showcase their methods, or enthusiasts that pump out high quality, full nerd-out analysis? Stuff like hull design, materials, etc. I recently found Cape Falcon and really like the presentation style, but they mostly do traditional construction. Paddle tech welcome, too.
Just found this one, in case anybody is in the same boat as I am.
Go to Nick’s Web site , on a computer, for an idea of his boats. https://guillemot-kayaks.com/catalog . Search for Guillemont Kayaks, Nick Schade on U tube.
Go to CLCboats.com for kits and more SoG boats. https://clcboats.com/
Cape Falcon is good for skin on frame.
I find Nick’s work more informative , technical and practical. He has a boat on display on the Contemporary Art Museum in New York. None of mine will be in a museum. Mine are made to be used.
Petrel Play and Petrel Sport in the shop. Fall/winter is go paddle season in Florida so the Sport is delayed.
Cape Falcon Kayak is a kayak builder in Oregon founded by Brian Schulz, a multidisciplinary paddler and skinboat builder: https://capefalconkayak.com/
