Love the Photo of the Month....

…it really took me back. Back in the days when I took my frequent trips to the BWCAW I had an old, weathered Robert Service book of poetry. I would read from it every evening, and especially enjoyed doing so when my friends brought their sons. One of those boys the daily poetry reading made enough of an impression on, he ended up as a college professor. It’s nice to have a beautiful “Visual” on Lake LaBarge, the location of my favorite Service prose, “The Cremation of Sam McGee.”

“There are strange things done in the midnight sun

By the men who moil for gold;

The Arctic trails have their secret tales

That would make your blood run cold;

The Northern Lights have seen queer sights,

But the queerest they ever did see

Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge

I cremated Sam McGee.”

same here, great shot
…except it reminds me of ski slopes (not a bad thing)

Hmmm…
…it DOES, doesn’t it?
