The Discos were pretty good boats for reasonably priced canoes. I’d want to look real close at this one though. It looks like it was set up for whitewater (thigh straps and center float bag). Hard to tell beu it looks like there is a crease in the side view.

Trippers are legendary canoes. Also heavy. I’m thinking that the price might be a bit high for it’s (guessed at) age.

Per OT catalog Tripper is 80#, Scout is 78#. Tripper is pretty old , white gunnels are the tip off. For the price difference I’d go for the Scout, presuming no unseen damage. They both are best for moving water. Will do OK flat water but not as good as many other canoes.

Thank you both so much!!

Trippers are venerable old canoes but very full in the ends. They go over waves well but are much slower than a Revelation or an Explorer. I like big canoes, because my brother and I are good sized and we bring dogs and coolers and run rivers. My favorite canoes have been 18-18 1/2 feet.
