Hi All, New here thanks for any replies!..Saw a mad river listed locally as fiberglass, thinking(hoping) its royalex… prefix is madex and last 2 digits are 88 I’m thinking its a 1988 maybe explorer? its listed as 17 ft… thanks for any help!.. Also says “new teak trim/rails” did they really use teak?
likely it is glass
mad river had a layup called K-Glass, a combination of kevlar and fiberglass. heavier than an all kevlar boat, but not too much so. a fairly beefy layup
