I’m in the process of trying to clean up a vintage 1984 kevlar Explorer that has seen a fair amount of abuse. Besides a couple of through-hull punctures (which were patched horribly, causing more damage than the punctures), there has been a lot of wear in the interior. It has the original gray football shaped painted area in the interior and I’d like to repaint it. I’ll probably go with a flat gray porch enamel, unless someone has a better idea. Any thoughts?
Maybe sprinkle a little fine sand on the paint while it’s wet, or just mix that into the paint.
I’d probably use Marine paint but that’s just me…might not matter.
Porch paint will do fine. I know a number of people who have used it. Anything you use is going to get scratched up with use obviously.
