For the past several years, I have enjoyed taking a few days away and driving up to the MPR at Coolwater Campground on the Pine River for some fast-water paddling.
This year the MPR is September 24-27 with scheduled trips Saturday & Sunday and “pick-up” trips on Thursday & Friday.
I hope to get some time on the Manistee, Little Manistee, and my favorite, the Pine.
Great campground, nice group of people, and incredible paddling. Look for me there, I’ll be the one with the white Sawyer solo and empty wine bottles laying around camp.
