I have a Werner whitewater paddle I want to convert for use with an IK. It is 199 cm and I need about a 220 cm paddle for my IK. All the longer paddles I have found don’t match my old Werner Powerhouse for stiffness and quality - so I was thinking I could cut the shaft in the middle and glue in a smaller (or larger) tube section. Has anyone ever done this??

you are fixin’ to ruin a good paddle.
Don’t do it!
Werner makes extensions (at least they did at one time, email them) in 10 and 20cm but you have to send the paddle back to them to match up the ferrule.
If it’s a low end entry level paddle go ahead and hack away.
