Depending on how bad you plan to beat it and the money thing you might also want to look at Hemlock Canoes composite Shaman. It’s truer to the Harold Deal design where the Mohawk is modified to make it builable in Royalex.

I saw one at Tohickon Creek at the beginning of the month and was amazed when the owner told me it was 10 years old. Nice looking boat.
