Hey everyone,
I’ve been spending the past few summers up in the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway – guiding, paddling, and exploring those incredible island chains around Henningsvær and Trollfjord. It’s honestly one of the most stunning places you can move through by kayak: steep mountains dropping straight into the sea, midnight sun, and endless little islands to camp on.
Over the years I’ve done a bunch of multi-day island-to-island trips up there, usually with small groups or friends. We paddle loaded kayaks, camp right by the water, and sometimes catch our dinner straight from the sea – cod, mackerel, sea salmon. Evenings usually mean a campfire and stories until the light softens (which can take a while in summer).
From 2026 on, I’ll start offering a few hand-picked, small-group expeditions each season. These aren’t big commercial tours – more like shared adventures with people who want to experience Lofoten in a simple, real way. I’ll take care of the gear, safety, and logistics, and share the knowledge I’ve built from working and paddling in the area over the last few years.
I also started working on a Journal on my website where I’m collecting insights about local weather, gear I use, food recommendations etc. It’s meant as a growing resource for anyone dreaming about a trip up here or planning their own paddling adventure in Lofoten.
If anyone is interested in joining a trip like this or you have any questions, let’s chat!
