Multiple sewage spills close down Michigan river twice this month

The St. Joseph River in Southwest Michigan has been places under a no contact advisory – the second one this month – after another sewage spill.

After the first spill, kayakers were on the water in the days after the spill, because the government did not notify the public of the danger.
