I am down to a NDK Poseidon (aka Surf), sold my longer kayaks. I love the Poseidon and especially the long cockpit, but it is not great with a load (need 6 days+ of camping gear etc.). So I am looking at a tripping/expedition boat. I am familiar with and would just go for the Explorer (would need an HV), but am curious what other boats are similar that are… stable, predictable, somewhat nimble, decent speed and efficiency, roll easily, comfy in the rough. Would love a longer cockpit (am getting old). thanks!
From your description you’re adding a long kayak back into your quiver. In the HV realm I’d place a P&H Cetus HV and Impex Assateague on that list.
Others will weigh in with other brands, I’m sure. Have fun shopping!

Hi Marshall, would the Valley Etain make it onto this list?
The Etain 177 certainly.
