It appears all 27 kayakers were wearing PFDs, thankfully. Did anyone think to check the weather forecast?
“The cave tour group (27 kayakers, including children)” - kind of sounds like it was a tour organized by a business. Yikes.
Wow. It’s so important to know the weather. Luckily they stayed in a safe spot until rescued.

Who ever organized this trip should forget about organizing any other trips.
Taking kids spelunking and then paddling in the dark without looking at the weather.
