I am an intermediate kayaker getting back into the sport after man years. My experience is strictly rivers and river kayaks.
My girlfriend and I are looking for kayaks that can handle small lakes, flatwater rivers, moving rivers (up to class II) and long distance touring.
We are doing the bowron lakes this summer. Otherwise we will be taking advantage of the limited paddling available here in Central Alberta.
There is not a lot of selection around here, but a local shop has a Necky Zoar and a Manitou both !4’. Budget is limited so that is a major factor. Will these handle our requirements?
