Need info on kayaking and camping in Mosquito Lagoon area

I’m planning a trip through Florida (was going to attend the now-cancelled TRAQs workshop, but still considering going for other kayak activities). One of the places I thought I’d visit that I have not yet been to is Mosquito Lagoon. Does anyone have any advice on launch points, destinations, etc. I would possibly do a day trip but had hoped to do some sort of overnight. So one possibility would be to camp somewhere that has a ramp. Another possibility would be to park at a secure launch, load up some gear and paddle out to a place where I can camp. I read about spoil islands but couldn’t find very good info on the web (of the type that would facilitate coming up with a good plan). I don’t know how likely it is that they would be occupied. I’d like to go to one that would be close enough to a couple others that if my first choice were occupied, I could get to another in time. Anyway, any thoughts or suggestions about a trip in that area would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

There are fish camps, guides, paddling companies, many accessible from US Highway 1 between Titusville and New Smyrna Beach.

You’ll fall in love with the area. Enjoy!
