The Eclipse is a bit large for me. My Solstice GTS fits me perfectly; in comparison I feel like I’m sitting in a bathtub in the Eclipse (I’m 5’6", 160 lbs). It paddles fine, and it is a great boat for my wife, who is smaller than me. For her, it’s just a big, stable kayak that goes well… Easy to get into/out of. And ours is Aralight too. Pretty bullet proof.
I picked up the Eclipse and an Impex Montauk, used, as a bundle for $400 a couple of years ago. The Impex was too fidgety for me and I sold it earlier this year for $1K.
