The white Mountain rivers and streams are running low. I think the fall colors will peak early this year.
Went up on Sunday, when “flatlanders” were headed home. Pretty quiet and peaceful right now. Will change I am sure as we near peak foliage season.

Don’t know about NE, but here in Pennsy, I’m not getting any chestnuts this year due to it being quite dry.
I was up in northern Maine last week - no color there yet.
Definitely some yellows (poplar) and reds (maple) beginning to emerge up in the high elevations of the Whites. Will see what it looks like next week when I head up to the western ME mountains and back to northern NH next week.
