New Personal Location Beacon -$ small

-- Last Updated: Jun-23-09 4:05 PM EST --

PLB smaller than a deck of cards, much less expensive, all the bells and whistles.

REVIEW LINK IN POSTS BELOW SHOWED THIS TO BE A STELLAR PLB WITH ENHANCED GPS CAPACITY SMALL SIZE AND EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE

Finally a less expensive Personal Locator Beacon with GPS AND a personalized message and it is really very small, so small you could keep it on your PFD. Have not seen reviews yet, but looks promising. I have reviewed using the SPOT system and this may be more reliable.

Check out the video, it is directed towards kayakers as well as other boat owners.

thanks Ken
Ken, thanks. I did not find any. This kind of thing saved lives when I was a Sierra Guide. I am headed to Maine for kayaking this summer and I plan to get one.

Again, thanks,

TP

I plan to get one
also and hope it’s a complete waste of money!

Looks good!
I was just about to buy an ACR ResQFix. This looks better, and $300 cheaper. Thanks for posting!

exactly for myself and others sake
The longer I live the more I consider as a good friend told me recently that each day that is NOT a crisis is a good day.
