Tried a new put-in on the Paw Paw river in SW Michigan yesterday. In the mid-60’s when I launched in late morning and 77 when I took out around 5 PM. Bumped into lots of sunken trees and had to duck occasionally. Managed to get lost but recovered (hmmm…why no current?). I will go back.

Tom, I can look at your photos and know you took them without looking for the photographer. Same with Andy’s.
Your photos look like many of the swamps and creeks we paddle. The flora differs, and a lot of it can bite .

Pretty scenery, but with some challenges.
I just pull out my phone when nature hits me over the head with a sledgehammer.
