Northpoing Paddles GP - anyone used?

My wife’s paddle should ship any day.
I pulled the trigger on a used carbon Superior one-piece 82" last week and it will ship tomorrow.

Yeah, yeah, I know that I said that I want a two-piece, and I still do, but I’ll see how I get along with this one until I come across a used two-piece at a good price.

My wife used her Northpoint GP todyay
for the first time and is very pleased with it. She said feels very light and feels good in her hands. She has very small hands, so this is her first paddle with a properly small diameter shaft.

This is her first GP, though she did try my carbon Superior GP a couple weeks ago and wouldn’t give it back to me on that outing, so she needs more outings with it to learn it’s capabilities, but she had no problems with just moving he boat around. She is a novice and this was only her third time out this year and it was breezier than she usually paddles in.

She really likes using it and thinks it’s really pretty.

She didn’t let my try it and I’m not sure that she ever will.

It feels very light and well balanced to me.

It is the Rosario model. She doesn’t abuse her paddles, so I didn’t think she needed the hardwood edging.
