Wenonahs usually have a lighter layup
and less side layers. I dont know how many footballs they lay in the bottom. However which Kevlar layup are you thinking of?
Ted Bell has always made pretty tough canoes. But I dont know his fabric layup schedules either. That is usually proprietary information.
Kevlar layups are generally strong enough for flat water paddling. In whitewater, its best you know exactly what you are doing. The foam core bottom does not like getting rammed into a rock.
And in any case neither boat should be ground up on shore.
